Born in 1809, Louis Braille was blind from an accident by the time he was five. Inspired by a French military system, Louis spent more than more than four years perfecting his system that is now used all over the world.

The Little People, Big Dreams series has such a great mix of well-known and lesser known people. Vegara manages to distill the story to the basics, keeping the story interesting but accessible. Braille’s story is such an inspiration.
