The little snail is ready for the day and to set out on its path.
I’m not sure how much the lesson will stick with young readers, nor am I sure that they will really understand it, but Curll’s snail illustrations with its shiny silver snail path are adorable. It is a good message for people to understand that their path is their path and that they do have choices - sometimes not even grownups learn that lesson early enough.
